TREATMENTS & PRICING

  • Your first visit will allow time for Alaya to listen to you. She will ask questions and may conduct some assessments to help her discern the approach to her treatment. She will work with you to help develop a treatment plan that is in alignment with your therapeutic goals.

You will receive a full 60-minute massage treatment in addition to the consultation.

  • 60 minutes of therapeutic massage for returning patients. There will be a check in prior to treatment to see how you are doing and make any adjustments to treatment if need be.

  • This treatment is a combination of massage technique with a gentle form of cupping therapy. Silicone cups will be used with and without movement on your skin to lift the surface layers of tissue. Cupping has a beneficial effect on connective tissue health, blood and lymphatic circulation, and decreasing stagnation of wastes within the tissues.

For the first few treatments mild painless bruising may occur.

Not recommended for those with Hemophilia or other blood clotting disease, cardiovascular disease, while pregnant or menstruating, or when fragility or irritation to the skin is present.

  • Full body massage treatment using beautifully crafted Ayurvedic herbal oils. There will be a brief assessment prior to your massage to determine which herbal combination is most beneficial for your body.

It is recommended that for full therapeutic benefit you you allow the oil to absorb for atleast 20mins following the treatment, then take a warm bath or shower to cleanse skin.

  • 90- minutes of Therapeutic Massage. For patients new or old. If it is your first visit some time will be allotted to discuss your therapeutic needs. For this massage, it is recommended as full body treatment. You have the option to add cupping therapy or medicinal herbal oil into this massage if interested.

  • If you require a treatment time of less than 1-hour please contact Alaya directly.

my practice

My years of academic study gave me an extensive, intellectual understanding of the human body and the treatment of various conditions through remedial Massage. My studies provided me with a scientific awareness, systemic, evidence-based, logical understanding. This knowledge equipped me with the structure and confidence to delve deeper into the many curiosities that were arising for me. I sought to know the nature of the body and the origin of imbalance. The connection of parts into a whole image; to bring union and holistic lens to the sectionalized way of thought. Through experience, curiosity and discernment I continue to learn.

Massage Therapy has developed into one of my art forms; it is something I respond to intuitively, that I drop into and flow with. It is a space of meditation and connection, a way that I express my love and devotion to life. For me, massage is a medium of communication, it is a listening to the body — it is feeling into what is there. It is the movement of energy; the correspondence and overlap of the magnetic field of two hearts. I believe in the power of the therapeutic nature of touch. I believe in the inherent intelligence of the body. That to receive touch can be not only remedial and therapeutic, but is an innate component of our well-being.

My intention as a practitioner is to provide a space for individuals to drop into themselves. To feel into the interconnectedness of their body. My treatment style varies depending on each individual's therapeutic needs, but generally consists of long, fluid, rhythmic, broad, slow flow balanced with specific and focused release. I aim to assist each person I treat with their therapeutic goals; whether it be to recover from injury or trauma, to relax and aid their nervous systems, or to develop a greater sense of wellbeing.

I treat people of all ages and walks of life and welcome you to my table with an open heart.

 FAQs

  • During treatment it is not necessary to wear anything at all. I usually recommend my patients to undress to their underwear; as this tends to be the most comfortable and allows for the widest variety of treatment techniques. You will have complete privacy while getting on and off the table, and will have a warm blanket to cover yourself. During treatment, only the areas that are treated will be uncovered. You will never be fully exposed, and special care will be made to accommodate your comfort level. If you prefer to leave other articles of clothing on, or remain fully dressed — this is also completely fine, although it may limit massage techniques used.

I recommend that you wear something loose and comfortable to your appointment for when you get dressed afterwards; as not having compression on your skin will allow for the blood and lymphatic systems to circulate and continue the benefits of your massage.

  • currently I am not registered to accept health funds in Australia. I have taken off a percentage of my treatment cost to reflect this.

  • Please let me know! I treat intuitively based on what I'm feeling in your tissues, but I cannot read your mind. If you want more or less pressure, are too hot or cold, need to change position, want more time spent on a certain area (etc..) I want to know! Your feedback helps me know what is most comfortable for you and allows me to better cater my treatment to your individual needs.

  • I use 100% pure sunflower oil. It is extremely gentle for all skin types, light, and non comodogenic. It also contains compounds and antioxidants that provide benefit to the skin.

I also offer medicinal herbal massage. These oils are quality crafted Ayurvedic herbal blends using traditional herbal formulations. I have several blends that I choose from depending on the needs of each individual.

If you have sensitivities to massage oils or lotions please let me know.
